Again after experiencing the genuine care and expertise at Hinemoa Street Dental, I feel moved to enlighten our community to this asset in our community. From the helpful reminders with even parking advice to the warm welcome with smiles at the front desk, I feel that I am known and my presence is valued. Priyanka greets me and takes me through to meet Dr Jae guiding me where I may place my gear then readying me for my procedure. Dr Jae greets me and completely informs me of each stage that we will cover, towards an implant. I note that the calm attentive way I am treated and spoken to with a smile and eye contact, I feel that there is no rush, I know that I can ask any questions with all answers clearly explained. I am asked if I am comfortable then the efficient, extremely capable dentistry begins, guided by calming explanations at key stages and supportive interactions between Dr Jae and Priyana, as if in a well-rehearsed production. Efficient action, gentle contact, thoughtfulness, kindness and constant informing with well-chosen words for me perfectly timed. The effective placing and sharing of Xrays kept me totally informed. After surgery for an implant I have settled into a day where I am not even sure if I need the pain-killers provided for my after care. I totally trust and may I say for the first time in many years, enjoy my visits to the dentist. Thank you all.

I've been the first to admit I'm not a fan of being at the dentist. But having had three appointments with Hinemoa Street Dental, one with a hygienist, and two with Dr Tayne, I have reversed my thinking. I was treated with care and respect from the moment I made the first booking. I feel 100% in good hands. With Dr Tayne I had a full assessment and discussion about what my teeth need to achieve dental fitness. It was clear Dr Tayne is honest therefore trustworthy and her easy, kind manner put me at ease right away. There was space in the conversation to make decisions and she made it clear that when we work our way through the comprehensive plan, that there will be ongoing discussion and consent. She is consistent about checking in during treatment and is clear about what will happen as it's about to be done. My gums are also not well, and Shenaya, the hygienist, I saw, kindly hand cleaned my teeth so as to not disturb the gums too much. I was incredibly grateful because I would not have coped with the ultrasonic scaler that day. They even provide an aftercare call the following day. All in all, this ticks all the boxes for how dental treatment ought to be and I'm now willing to go back for more.
